During her travels across 4 continents, the founder observed the degradation of environmental, Health, Physical, Mental and social values among all ages from children to the elderly. She decided to educate the kids about how a healthy and sustainable living can solve the current global issues. This project focuses on making sustainable school models as much as possible.
With the collaboration of Manavatha, college students are involved in cycling around 60 kms for running plantation drives and sustainable living workshops in schools along the way.
Went on a Trekking Expedition with Kashmiri kids teaching them how to protect nature and environment from being polluted by humans. Cleaned up the beautiful lakes and mountains of Kashmir along the treks everyday. Taught the necessity of having clean mental and physical surroundings. The kids there are still continuing the drive inspired by the founder in Kashmir.
Students are trained to keep their campus clean and hygienic. They are taught to eat healthy and grow what they eat in the school backyard. The kids are made responsible for a small space to grow their favorite vegetable. Integrated their education with the practical work of germination, caring for seedlings, making natural fertilizers, mulching, watering, conserving water among other things.
Started bringing awareness about reusing everything in life. At a young age, if kids get into the habit of reusing, they will carry forward this habit all through their life. They are taught stitching cloth bags with their old uniforms, unused or discarded clothing in their homes.
With tonnes of weight on their backs in the name of school bags, and the stress about grades, Kids are not able to cherish their childhood and innocence. Neither are they able to strengthen their body and mind nor channel their energy in the right direction. Practising Yoga helps them realize their potential, uniqueness and leads them towards a brighter and happier future.

On behalf of my teachers, I express my immense gratitude to her efforts in our campus to work towards reducing waste campus and walk towards zero waste.
I’m glad to have been associated with Bhavani Madam in her presence in our campus has benefited us many levels. not just the level we see outside regarding pollution, how human should be more conscious towards environment.
But her suggestions regarding women’s hygiene options during three days of the month are also very important and also I liked how she has spoken to all students and she has brought out that kind of consciousness how we are polluting the environment immensely using all those traditional sanitary napkins and how disproportionately effects our environment.
I always I always had this little voice in my head asking me to change but it was her suggestion that nudged me into taking that step and switching over to more safe and environmentally friendly sustainable option of menstrual cup I’m glad she has helped all of us to be little more environmentally conscious I hope that she will continue to do all these great things wherever she goes.
